What will you learn?
We will start with the basics of poetry like metaphors, rhymes, metaphors and building imagery. We will also find out the brain science of why people feel certain emotions. We combine science with philosophy to help the reader or listener understand what is going on in their mind.
We will write a poem
As you make your way through the curriculum, you and I will write a poem together. We’ll start with a 1-line image. We will expand it into 3-line haiku. After that, we’ll turn it into a short 4-line poem, and I’ll show you how to extend your poem beyond that.
