Tele2 explains why big tariff hikes are necessary

This week, some Tele2 users received SMS messages notifying them of an upcoming tariff increase. For example, if a subscriber pays 450 rubles per month, soon he will have to pay 750 rubles.

The outrage of users has spread through social networks, which is understandable, as no operator has so far raised tariffs so drastically without any clear explanation.

The Tele2 news service responded to numerous complaints, but nonetheless stated the reasons for the operator's move. Based on this news, we can conclude that the purpose of raising tariffs is not to take more money from users, so Tele2 is prompting to reconsider the method of unlimited internet consumption and use the tariff services provided by the package more consciously.

“Analysis of users’ mobile internet service consumption profiles shows that most unlimited users require very specific traffic, and Tele2’s open tariff lines can meet the needs of a different number of mobile internet customers. Subscribers of “unlimited” lines can choose according to their preferences Choose a new package tariff and enjoy personal savings. Customers who prefer unlimited usage can keep the current price for a one-time payment for six months in advance, or continue to use the new tariff,” Tele2 explained.

A publication titled "Information Messages" appeared on the Tele2 website. In it, operators offer subscribers a forgo tariff for full unlimited internet and switch to a package tariff.

Unlimited users can use the Tele2 service more consciously on the package tariff, while getting more benefit from the additional features. These are monthly discounts on the Profitable Together plan, the sale of excess data on Market Tele2, the exchange of movie minutes, and discounts on the purchase of a subscriber's device.

Tele2 tariff open line allows you to meet the needs of customers with different traffic. At the same time, many users do not use up their packages, so operators' tariffs include an endless transfer of residual mobile Internet traffic. Additionally, customers who do not have enough traffic can purchase additional plans on the Market Tele2 website or use the new Mixx service to purchase a 50 GB plan.

Tariff costs for "unlimited" lines will change at the next date the subscription fee is cancelled - starting July 5, for those subscribers who don't choose the suggested option. Meanwhile, customers who continue to enjoy unlimited line tariffs will have the opportunity to take advantage of individual benefits until August 10, 2022.
