Spell Checker: Microsoft Notepad is now included in Outlook on all platforms





The Microsoft Editor spell checker launched with Microsoft 365 Consumer in Spring 2020 and has grown in popularity. The latest integration affects the Outlook mobile app for Android and iOS.


The first is Microsoft Editor as an extension to the browsers Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome. The feature is now natively integrated in Edge, and the spell checker is also included in Outlook and Word, and does a great job of not only flagging misspellings, but also warning about repeated words, redundant fillers, or grammatical errors.



Microsoft Editor learns from input and initially remembers unknown words. This information is stored in a personal Microsoft account and is therefore available across applications and platforms.
