Apple begins quality assessment of iPhone 14 OLED displays, ahead of mass production

According to South Korean trade publication The Elec, Apple has started evaluating the quality of iPhone 14 OLED displays from various suppliers before mass production.

The company is already evaluating OLED panels for the standard 6.1-inch iPhone 14 model, and mass production should begin between July and August, the sources said.

Elec has confirmed a recent Omdia report that Chinese display maker BOE has once again received orders from Apple despite previous issues with the iPhone 13's OLED panels. It is worth noting that BOE will only provide 5 million displays for the regular iPhone 14.

Apple is expected to hold the iPhone 14 launch event in September.
