What each unit is about
This course will introduce you to basic concepts in computing and teach you to read and write your own computer program. We are going to do that in terms of building a web search engine.
Uint 1 will teach you Python grammar and show you how to use variables, strings, and some Python built-in functions to create web crawlers that use it.
To add more functionality to the crawler built-in Unit 1, Unit 2 will take you deeper into the process, loop, and logical design used.
Unit 3 is about managing data by mastering the use of different data types to be able to create a search engine index.
Our biggest goal is to learn about computer science, so Unit 4 focuses on teaching you how to store computer data and how to be profitable in doing so. In addition to understanding the basics of network and data management.
By the end of Unit 5, you will have a better understanding of how programs run and how to execute hash tables for our search engines.
Unit 6 will expand on the grammar we presented in Unit 1 and show you how to get the best results for a search query.
