This book describes the University of Pennsylvania’s ongoing research efforts to model and control simulated humanoid figures.
Professors Badler and Weber have now led the work by pioneering broad discipline at the academy: in this study, dynamics, computer graphics, AI and natural language processes have been combined to handle the task of creating biomechanically realistic human models.
In the long run, they hope to gain a model that allows them to easily control their behavior and use language to guide and instruct their learning.
This book, being out of print, is permitted by Oxford University Press for distribution in PDF format.
