The Medical Products Agency urges the public to report any adverse reactions to the covid-19 vaccine. This has resulted in ten times as many side effects reports in 2021 as in a normal year.

– We encourage all people who have been vaccinated to report if they experience possible side effects. "Thanks to the report, we were able to uncover new and unusual side effects that could help to learn more about vaccines and how they should be used," Veronica Arthurson, a division manager at the Medical Products Agency, said in a release.
11,951 reports were classified as critical. In 458 reports, at least one suspected side effect was reported as the cause of death.
"The reported deaths may have been caused by the suspected vaccine, or by the patient's underlying medical conditions and/or other concomitant medications," the Medical Products Agency wrote on its website.
