On Sunday, June 20, Tesla CEO Elon Musk congratulated his rocket company's SpaceX team as theyThree "perfect releases" in two days.
Musk tweeted a video on Sunday showing his rocket successfully recovered. He also wrote: "Congratulations to the SpaceX Falcon rocket team for completing 3 perfect launches in two days!" Until 2022,SpaceX has completed 26 launches.
SpaceX has carried out three launches in 36 hours since last Friday (June 17). On the same day, SpaceX launched 53 Starlink internet satellites from the Kennedy Space Center. The booster used for this launch set a record 13 launch recovery times, the company's most repeatable booster to date.
The second launch took place Saturday at the Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, where SpaceX launched the SARah-1 radar imaging satellite for the German military. SpaceX provided only limited launch information, similar to U.S. restrictions on clandestine missions, but the German military later confirmed the payload and successfully made contact with the 4-ton satellite.
The third launch took place Sunday in Cape Canaveral, Florida, where SpaceX successfully completed a two-stage Falcon 9 rocket launch, with the booster returning to Earth 10 minutes later. The only identifiable payload for the launch was Globalstar FM15, a backup satellite for low-Earth orbit satellite operator Globalstar. The satellite entered its intended orbit nearly two hours after launch.
There are plenty of indications, though, that Globalstar FM15 isn't the only payload SpaceX has launched on its third mission. Globalstar also did not provide a detailed description of its satellites, saying only that the satellites were in good condition after launch. The satellite will remain in the lower transfer orbit as an on-orbit spare to replace existing satellites if necessary.
Musk said on June 14 that SpaceX will have Starship ready for its first orbital test flight by July, and a second Starship will be ready in August.
He says:"Starship will take off next month. Late last night, I assessed the progress of the High Bay project. We'll have a second starship ready in August and then ramp up construction. "
