
Today, the domestic new energy company CATL announced on its official Weibo that it has built the country's largest 5G enterprise private network with a scale of more than 5 million square meters, equivalent to 11,904 standard basketball courts. It is reported that this 5G enterprise private network spans a total of 7 bases in six provinces including Fujian, Jiangsu and Sichuan, and continues to expand, and will gradually cover 10 bases around the world. Ningde Times said that this 5G-based industrial Internet architecture can make full use of its advanced technologies of high bandwidth, low latency, and wide connectivity to effectively solve multiple business pain points in extreme production environments. By applying 5G technology to extreme manufacturing, CATL has explored 22 high-value business scenarios and realized 9 5G converged applications. As the world's number one new energy company, CATL's revenue in the first quarter of 2022 was 48.68 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 153.97%; its net profit was 1.493 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 23.62%. At present, according to data from the China Automotive Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance, CATL alone accounted for 45.85% of the installed capacity of domestic power batteries in May, holding steady.
