Global Top 10 Smartphone Sales List in April: There is no suspense at the top of the Apple Slaughter List, and Xiaomi is the bright spot
For Apple, there is no problem with the global sales of its iPhone 13 series, but the slaughter list on the global sales list is a bit too ruthless.
Counterpoint Research previously reported that Apple sold 7 of the 10 best-selling smartphones throughout 2021, while 5 iPhones entered the list in April 2022, with the top four all occupied by Apple.
The iPhone 13 was the best-selling product, capturing 5.5% of the overall market. Apple's iPhone 13 Pro Max came in second with 3.4 percent of sales.
In third place is the iPhone 13 Pro with 1.8%, while the iPhone 12 comes in fourth with 1.6%.
The fifth and sixth places are the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G with 1.5% and the Samsung Galaxy A13 with 1.4%. Xiaomi is also a bright spot on the entire list, with its Redmi Note 11 LTE successfully making it to the list.
Counterpoint said: “The recently launched iPhone SE 2022 posted triple-digit monthly growth and entered the top 10. The new iPhone SE ranked seventh, also at 1.4% when rounded. The model performed particularly well in Japan, where It topped the sales charts in April, capturing 18% of the Japanese smartphone market. However, it didn’t do well in the U.S.”
