Amazon Web Services, also known as AWS, is a set of cloud computing tools and services from Amazon.
The service was officially launched in 2006 and as of June 2007, AWS had a user base of approximately 180,000 people.
Companies that use it include Reddit, Foursquare, Pinterest, Netflix, NASA or CIA and some English companies such as Mapfre, FC Barcelona or Interflora.
This is mainly due to the maturity of the service compared to other similar services and the possibilities offered by the wide range of tools available.
